The Shimano BR-5800 Brake Shoe Set is a factory replacement for 105 level caliper brakes from Shimano. The alloy pad holders contain all-condition R55C4 replaceable cartridge pads that are easy to swap out without replacing the holders. For use with carbon rims only.
The Shimano R55C4 brake pads (2 pairs) are the ideal choice for current and older Dura Ace, Ultegra and 105 brakes (standard or direct mounting) in combination with aluminium rims. Their braking performance is extraordinarily high, especially in dry conditions, as is their durability. R55C4 brake pads protect the brake track and work very quietly.
